The postdoctoral researcher at the Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering, AC3E, from Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria, Freddy Flores, traveled to Santa Clara, California, to present his article "Control of microgrid Interface Converters for Reactive Power and Harmonic Compensation" in 2016 IEEE International Symposium on Electronics Industrial, held from 8 to 10 June.

On May 30 was held the international seminar "Energy 2050: Society, Science and Technology", organized by the University of Edinburgh and the School of Engineering at the Universidad Catolica, under the Pillar 2 project CORFO Engineering 2030 "Facing the great challenges of society ".

The Chief Technology Transfer Officer of the Advance Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering, AC3E, from the Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa María, Francisco Gutierrez, participated in an Innovation Forum funded by the European Union for the ERAnet-LAC project, which seeks to promote cooperation between research and innovation agents from EU and Latin America.

Throughout the month of May, the Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering, AC3E, from the Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria, received a visit from former student of Master of UTFSM and current collaborator of the Center, Ricardo Aguilera and researcher at the University New South Wales (NSW), Australia, Josep Pou. Both are currently working at the Institute of Electric Power Australia (AERI) of this university.
